Stuart is the Managing Director of Waterstone Design and is responsible for running the electrical services department, as well as being responsible for day to day management of the company.
Stuart has wide experience in the design and installation of electrical engineering services including HV & LV distribution systems, standby generation, UPS, fire detection, lighting, power and security systems.
Stuart is responsible for the design, cost control, specification and project management of both small and major projects including healthcare facilities, hotels, sports centres, industrial, residential and commercial projects
Stuart oversees all projects within Waterstone Design to ensure quality and commitment to our clients’ requirements. Some of the projects that Stuart has taken a lead design role in are detailed below.
Air Canada CIP Lounge
Waterstone Design Building Services Consultants Ltd were appointed indirectly by Heathrow Airport Ltd, to provide the shell and core design to three blocks within Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2B which included various office spaces, and ramp accommodations, together with the exclusive CIP lounge within the body of Terminal 2B for Air Canada. This was designed in accordance with the relevant Codes of Practice, statutory regulations, and BAA standards where appropriate.
Waterstone Design Building Services Consultants Ltd were then appointed indirectly by Air Canada to provide the full mechanical and electrical design to the internal fit out of the lounge. This included detailed liaison with the Architect and Interior Designer with regards to the specialist lighting and audio visual requirements within each area of the lounge that a project of this nature demands.
This also included visiting various Air Canada lounges worldwide to ensure that the high standards and specifications required are maintained in this exclusive signature lounge within Heathrow Airport.
Clients for the above works were also Turkish Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Air China, Thailand International. Waterstone Design Building Services Consultants Ltd were appointed to provide full design drawings and calculations for the M&E services to the lounges for these airlines, and provide a checking service for the base build services fit out design in line with the BAA standards, taking into consideration the requirements of each individual airline.
Heathrow Terminal 2 United Airlines Ramp Maintenance Building
Waterstone Design Building Services Consultants were appointed to provide the full mechanical and electrical design to the refurbishment/development of the UA ramp maintenance building for the introduction of office space. This included heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, power, data, fire alarm, as per the tenant’s requirements.
The Deptford Project
Stuart is the Lead Engineer on this project consisting of 121 units in a single block, together with 12 commercial spaces, parking at ground floor level, and a central plant room.
Millbrook Park Phase 3A, Mill Hill
Stuart is the Electrical Engineer on this scheme which consists of 92 No. houses and apartments within various blocks consisting of 4, 6 and 7 storeys, together with a basement car park and podium.
20 Kingston Road, Staines
Stuart is the Electrical Engineer on this commercial office project, which has just achieved practical completion. The building was to be fully refurbished, improving the energy efficiency of the building, providing an M&E services installation in keeping with the current design standards and suitable for the periods expected in the next phase of the development’s use. The scheme includes all floors from ground to fourth floors, plus roof plant areas, basement car park and external car park areas.
Stuart has been the lead engineer on Chatham Quays, residential and commercial project consisting of 345 residential units across a 17 and 20 storey towers and 3 storey low rise block as well as a 10 unit commercial block.
North West Kent College
Working as part of the design and build design team for a two block new build college within Kent, consisting of full electrical services including a fully intelligent lighting control system with day light linking and automated control.
Stuart was the lead engineer for a new £3.5million new build house consisting of home cinema, gymnasium, basement car park and swimming pool as well as a full lighting control system and high spec security system both within the house and the grounds.
